Introducing Men's Health Long Island

A practice built for men who are ready to stop suffering in silence — and start getting real answers from a specialist who actually listens.

Why I Built This Practice

If you're reading this, there's a good chance you've been dealing with something for a while. Maybe it's been months. Maybe longer. And maybe — like a lot of the men I see — you haven't told anyone about it yet.

That's exactly why I built Men's Health Long Island.

Hi! I'm Mahyar Kashani, a fellowship-trained urologist and the Director of Male Sexual Health at Mount Sinai South Nassau. I grew up here on Long Island, and I came back here to practice because I saw a gap: men in this community were struggling with deeply personal health issues — and they had nowhere to turn that felt safe, discreet, and genuinely specialized.

Most men don't want to sit in a waiting room full of strangers and explain why they're there. They don't want to feel rushed through a 10-minute appointment where their concerns get brushed off. And they certainly don't want to be handed a sample pack and sent on their way without a real conversation.

"My goal is simple: give every man who walks through our doors the kind of honest, expert care he deserves — without judgment, without embarrassment, and without wasting his time."

What We Treat

Men's Health Long Island is a specialty practice. That means we don't try to be everything to everyone — we focus specifically on the conditions that affect men's sexual health, hormonal health, and urological wellbeing. These are areas where expertise matters enormously, and where the right specialist makes all the difference.

Our Areas of Expertise

You Don't Have to Just "Live With It"

One of the things we hear most often from new patients is some version of: "I didn't know this was something that could actually be treated."

Men are conditioned to push through discomfort, to minimize their symptoms, and to assume that certain things are just part of getting older. But the truth is — whether it's ED, Low Testosterone, or a change in urinary function — these are medical conditions. They have causes. And they have treatments.

The field of men's sexual medicine has advanced dramatically over the past decade. We have tools and therapies today that weren't available even five years ago. As a fellowship-trained specialist with academic-level expertise right here on Long Island, I bring that knowledge directly to my patients — without them having to travel into the city.

What Makes Our Approach Different

There's no shortage of clinics advertising men's health services right now. Some of them are excellent. Some of them are not. The difference comes down to the depth of training, the quality of the diagnostic process, and whether the treatment plan is actually built around you — or around what's easiest to prescribe.

At Men's Health Long Island, every patient gets a thorough evaluation. I use penile duplex ultrasound — an advanced diagnostic tool that measures blood flow directly — to understand the root cause of ED rather than guessing. I run comprehensive hormonal panels for men with Low Testosterone rather than relying on a single number. And I take the time to explain what I find, what the options are, and what I would recommend if it were me or someone I loved sitting in that chair.

"An informed patient makes better decisions. I'd rather spend an extra 10 minutes in the room than have a patient go home confused about their own health."

This Is a Judgment-Free Zone

Coming in to talk about sexual health, performance, or urological concerns takes courage. For a lot of men, it's one of the hardest phone calls they've ever made. I know that. My entire team knows that. And we take it seriously.

You will not be made to feel embarrassed here. You will not be judged. You will be listened to — really listened to — by a physician who has dedicated his career to exactly these issues. Whatever brought you here, you made the right call.
